Hysteroscopy

A hysteroscopy is an examination in which a small camera is used to examine the uterus. This is done at the consultation by one of our gynaecologist-hysteroscopists. During this examination, photos can be taken of the inside of the uterus, the mucous membrane is studied and the openings of the Fallopian tubes can be checked. A small piece of the mucous membrane can be removed for further examination.

Practical info : Your doctor will make you an appointment at the hysteroscopy consultation. This will take place in the gynaecology consultation at the Botanique site 7th floor at the polyclinic. Important! You must definitely not be pregnant during this examination. Therefore, either come after menstruation and before ovulation or use contraceptives during the cycle of the examination.
