Unexplained infertility

In approximately one in five couples that have undergone a full fertility assessment, no cause is found to explain the lack of pregnancy. We refer to this as unexplained infertility. In fact this means that the actual explanation was not found with the tests carried out. The actual explanation may still lie in the biological behaviour of egg, sperm and embryos.
The treatment of unexplained infertility initially involves insemination treatment in an unstimulated cycle. Secondly, IVF is used.
